What the world really needs is more of my thoughts, so I’m writing again and I am posting that writing here, on the interwebs, on what we used to call a blog, which was originally written on sheets of papyrus and then promoted through carrier pigeon. It has been long enough that I can’t even remember what two words we put together to make blog anymore. Between log? Blatant monologue? I know there were animated gifs and there were Sims screen captures, but the rest is lost in a haze of unanchored pop culture references and Geocities-hosted fan fiction.
However it came to be, it’s a structure from the early 2000s that is still standing, along with cropped sweaters and Conan O’Brien, both of which have only gained in stature over the last 20 years, and it is in that company that I embark on this journey of trivial observations and unsolicited opinions.
